The path that starts from Fonte Vetica, famous for eating pecorino and kebabs, climbs up the Vradda valley. Here we are in the kingdom of eagles and above all chamois, who live here in large numbers, protected by the immense walls that on the north side plummet down 1000 meters to the hills of Teramo and the Adriatic Sea.

From the Fonte Vetica refuge we will leave for our trekking / nature in the Gran Sasso National Park through the path that will take us to touch the top of Monte Bandiera (2564mt). On the path we will meet the mythical Chamois of Abruzzo and we will look out on the infamous rock balconies that rise for a thousand meters on the underlying landscape that runs up to the Adriatic Sea. The life that flows wild between the green slopes of the L'Aquila side and the rocky balconies of the Teramo side of the massif and the aerial panorama make it the most beautiful balcony in Abruzzo. Here the sunrise is truly breathtaking. The roof of clouds that often forms when observing the Teramo side of the Gran Sasso from the balconies of Monte Bandiera. On beautiful days with clear skies, the Adriatic Sea and the entire Abruzzo coast are also clearly visible.

Program: scheduled departure of the Fonte Vetica Refuge at 09.00 approx. Expected return at about 15.00. The program may vary according to weather conditions.
