DEPARTURES
On request March / October
For cyclotourism lovers, the Costa dei Trabocchi is a continuous thrill as you travel along the coast cycle path pedaling towards Molise. For lovers of trekking and boating, the Tremiti islands are a natural paradise nestled in the Gargano National Park - they are an almost obligatory destination. Due to their particular morphology and always mild climatic conditions, they are a favorite area especially for MTB enthusiasts who, twelve months a year, find inlets and dirt roads that are ideal for their evolution. The five islands, located off the Adriatic coast of the Gargano, in Puglia, are in fact five jagged strips of land, veritable corners of paradise intact and rich in naturalistic beauties. In these evocative views of the splendid Gargano coast, cycle tourism is considered by institutional bodies to be the ideal format for respecting the beauty and integrity of the Apulian archipelago which, not surprisingly, is carefully protected by the authorities of the National Park. The five small islands (3 square kilometers in total) 12 miles from the Gargano coast and 24 from the Molise coast, are a naturalistic asset, but also a paradise for diving and for those who love nature and the sea, whose color , with its thousand shades, it recalls the Caribbean Sea.
1st day: Francavilla al Mare
Arrival in Francavilla al Mare (the gateway to the Trabocchi coast), meeting with the guide, briefing and bike test. Experiential dinner and overnight stay
2nd Day: From Francavilla al Mare to Fossacesia (Abruzzo Bike)
First stop along the Via Verde dei Trabocchi, along the old railway track today transformed into the Abruzzese Bike to Coast. The path alternates dirt with slightly beaten sections. You ride with the magnificence of the Adriatic Sea on the left and the Theatine hills on the right. We will meet the Trabocchi, old fishing huts, which will accompany us to Fossacesia, where we will go up to admire the view from the terrace of the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere. We will arrive at the hotel and then enjoy a nice swim in the Adriatic. In the evening, an experiential dinner on the Trabocco in the middle of the sea. Overnight.
KM stage: 50
Difference in altitude: 600
Day 3: From Fossacesia to Termoli (Molise Bike)
Today we will cycle between history (old royal sheep track) and nature (Punta Aderci reserve and Punta Penna in Vasto, pine forest of Petacciato marina, marine dunes, surrounding hills), for a flat path that will lead us to leave Abruzzo to immerse ourselves in Molise crossing the province of Campobasso and reach Termoli, the most important town on the Molise coast. The small ancient village, one of the most beautiful in Italy, stands on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea, with the Cathedral in the center, one of the most beautiful examples of Romanesque in Molise, which preserves the relics of the patron saint St. Bass. Dinner in the village with the famous Brodetto Termolese and overnight stay
KM stage: 59
Difference in altitude: 450
4th Day: Ferry to Tremiti and visit of the island by boat (Puglia Trekk & Boat)
Transfer by ferry from the port of Termoli to the Tremiti Islands. Approximately 1 hour of travel. The five small islands (3 square kilometers in total) 12 miles from the Gargano coast and 24 from the Molise coast, are a naturalistic asset, but also a paradise for diving and for those who love nature and the sea, whose color , with its thousand shades, it recalls the Caribbean Sea. We will arrive in Tremiti and reach the hotel to arrange the bags. The day will be dedicated to visiting the islands, by boat, in search of the most beautiful coves to take a bath in the crystal clear waters. Dinner and overnight stay
Walking: 1 h
Difference in altitude: 100
5th Day: Tremiti, San Domino Island and Caprara by Trekk & Boat
San Domino, covered with Aleppo pines and Mediterranean scrub, is the main island. It houses some hotels, villages and clubs and is particularly suitable for trekking excursions even with good technical routes. Caprara, an uninhabited island, where herring gulls nest, dotted with caper plants is a paradise for divers. It is worth going there for a dip in the beautiful Cala dei Turchi. The day will pass between TREKKING and RIB. Dinner and overnight stay
Walking: 2.5 H Dinghy the rest of the day
Difference in altitude: 150
6th Day: Tremiti, San Nicola Island and Cretaccio by Trekk & Boat
If you go along the islands you will discover the numerous coves, caves and bays. Of the five, only four can be visited. San Nicola, a bastion of white rock with some towers and a fortress, has among its beauties Cala degli Schiavoni, Cala Diamante and Cala Tamariello, the crocodile cave and Cala Tramontana. We will also visit Cretaccio which, in fact, is a rock, but is much loved by those who practice diving. Pianosa, on the other hand, has been inaccessible since 1989, as it is an integral marine reserve. We will spend the day hiking in TREKKING and visiting the caves in a RIB. Dinner and overnight stay
Walking: 2.5 H Dinghy the rest of the day
Difference in altitude: 150
7th day: Departure from Tremiti
After breakfast at the hotel, departure by ferry to Termoli and then to the respective return destinations.

Bikelife
BIKELIFE live your passion, was born with the intention of PROMOTING the TERRITORY with BIKE (bicycle tourism) and TREKKING, as very valid elements and tools of territorial knowledge and promotion.
Going by bicycle and / or on foot in your free time, for a simple day trip or for a holiday, is beautiful and fun, it allows you to do some healthy movement and, if in nice company, to socialize. You immerse yourself in nature, slowly discover the riches of the territory, visit the natural, cultural and artistic beauties. There are pleasant and unexpected encounters with locals or other hikers, tasting the local eno-gastronomic specialties. For everyone, perhaps after having dissolved a bit of "rust", it also becomes a very pleasant physical experience, for the more "sporty" it is a great challenge and fun to progressively lengthen kilometers and altitudes.
And the more you have, the more you put.
These are certainly (but if we want many others), the "elements" that give personal pleasure and therefore "passion" to carry out, at all levels, this kind of activity that BIKELIFE obviously "advertises" in order to entice people who do not they still tried them. People who, among other things, …
